Hope Is Not a Strategy

If your business is anything like mine, it’s tough sledding right now – and likely to get tougher before it gets easier. I mean you know it’s bad when even your junk email box is empty.

Is it possible that things are so bad people are actually eating SPAM instead of sending it? If that is the case, it’s worse out there than we
had imagined.

But wringing your hands and eating out of a can won’t help. You’ve got to stand up and fight. Fight for your company, for your clients, for your vendors, for your future.

Merely waiting for the economic storm to pass is not an option. Neither is the hope that everything will be OK, a strategy. If you’re standing still and waiting on the economy to move forward, then you’re backing up.

As me dear Mum used to say, “Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way.”
